Headline:

Hard frost in south tonight. Milder and windy in northwest.

This Evening and Tonight:

Predominantly fine and cold with a widespread frost, especially across England and Wales. The frost particularly harsh towards the southeast of England tonight, where freezing fog patches are likely in the countryside. Cloudier, milder and windy in the far northwest.

Saturday:

Wet and windy weather spreading southwards across Scotland and Northern Ireland. The rain heavy across western Scotland, with gales. Cold and fair across England and Wales, though breezy in north.
