The weather during the coming week will be dominated by low pressure. One low will drift out into the North Sea late Monday as the next one approaches Ireland mid week. So, the weather remains pretty unsettled.

Broken or well broken cloud with showers, some heavy, prolonged and thundery, although the South and West Fells could start off with a blanket of hill fog. The afternoon should turn out to be very much brighter than the morning, still with heavy showers.

Good or very good becoming moderate in the heavier showers and poor in cloud.
Cloud base
Broken or well broken 750 to 900m falling to 450m in heavier showers, although the South and West Fells could start off with a blanket at 300m or less.
Wind and temperature at 900m
Variable 5 to 10mph becoming northwest 20mph with stronger gusts in or near the heavier showers. 7 to 9C.

Well above the summits.
