A low in the Irish Sea will move slowly northeast across northern England then into the North Sea through the next few days, maintaining the unsettled theme to the weather.

From Cape Wrath to Rattray Head including Orkney - Strong winds are forecast
24 hour forecast: Northerly or northeasterly 4 or 5, occasionally 6 at first in northwest and later in east. Moderate at first in south, otherwise rough. Occasional rain. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.
Outlook:  Northeasterly 4 or 5, occasionally 6 at first in east. Rough becoming moderate. Occasional rain. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

Rattray Head to Berwick on Tweed
24 hour forecast: Northeast backing north 3 or 4, increasing 5 at times. Moderate, occasionally slight at first and rough later. Occasional rain. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.
Outlook:  North 3 or 4, occasionally 5 at first. Moderate, occasionally rough at first. Occasional rain. Moderate or good, occasionally poor.

Berwick on Tweed to Whitby
